Arrive in Kathmandu: (Altitude: 1,280 m/ 4,200 ft) and visit Pashupatinath and Boudhanath
Your journey begins with a warm welcome at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu, where our representative will be waiting to greet you. After a smooth transfer to your hotel in the heart of the city, you'll have time to relax and recover from your travels. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity for a short orientation walk around Thamel, Kathmandu’s lively tourist district, filled with colorful shops, cafes, and local culture. In the evening, join us for a welcome dinner featuring traditional Nepali cuisine and a brief introduction to your upcoming adventure. This first day is all about settling in, soaking up the first impressions of Nepal, and preparing for the rich cultural and scenic journey that lies ahead.

Visit to Pashupatinath, Boudhanath and Kathmandu Durbar Square
In the next day, after having our breakfast we will experience the cultural and spiritual heart of Kathmandu with a visit to three iconic UNESCO World Heritage Sites. We will begin at Pashupatinath Temple, one of the holiest Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, where ancient rituals unfold along the sacred Bagmati River. Then we will continue to the majestic Boudhanath Stupa, a serene Buddhist site adorned with prayer flags and spinning wheels, offering a peaceful atmosphere and panoramic views. We will conclude your journey at Kathmandu Durbar Square, a historic royal complex rich with intricate architecture, vibrant courtyards, and centuries-old temples that reflect Nepal’s rich cultural heritage.

Drive to Khopasi: Drive duration: 1.5 Hours) and Hike to Balthali: (Altitude: 1,730 m/5,675 ft | Trek duration: 1 Hour)
Enjoy a scenic drive to Khopasi, a peaceful village on the outskirts of the Kathmandu Valley, where your hike to Balthali begins. This easy and refreshing walk takes you through lush-terraced fields, traditional villages, and serene forests, offering stunning views of rural Nepal and the distant Himalayas. Arrive at Balthali, a tranquil hilltop village known for its natural beauty and warm hospitality, perfect for a relaxing escape into nature. We will stay overnight in a resort.

Hike Down to Khopasi: (Trek duration: 45 Minutes) & Drive to Panauti: (Drive duration: 15 Minutes)
We begin our day with a gentle hike down from Balthali to Khopasi, enjoying the peaceful landscapes and charming villages along the way. From Khopasi, we take a short drive to Panauti, a beautifully preserved ancient town rich in Newari culture and heritage. There, we explore cobbled streets, centuries-old temples, and traditional architecture, immersing ourselves in Nepal’s vibrant history and spiritual traditions.

Witness Early Morning Activities and Drive back to Bhaktapur
We wake early to witness the vibrant morning activities that bring the towns to life, farmers tending their fields, vendors setting up colorful markets, and locals performing age-old rituals at temples and community spaces. This authentic glimpse into daily life offers a deep connection to the culture and traditions of the region. After soaking in the lively atmosphere and capturing the serene beauty of the early hours, we drive back to Bhaktapur, a city renowned for its medieval charm, where the journey continues amid stunning architecture, ancient squares, and rich cultural heritage. We will stay overnight at a hotel in Bhaktapur.

Visit Patan Durbar Square and Swyombhunath Stupa
We explore Patan Durbar Square, marveling at its exquisite Newari architecture, ornate temples, and vibrant artisan workshops that showcase centuries of craftsmanship and cultural heritage. From there, we visit the Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple, perched atop a hill offering panoramic views of Kathmandu Valley. Surrounded by prayer wheels and fluttering prayer flags, this sacred Buddhist site provides a serene and spiritual atmosphere, completing our journey through Nepal’s rich historical and religious landmarks.
