  • Arrive in Kathmandu: (Altitude: 1,280 m/ 4,200 ft)

    Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our representative will greet you and assist with your transfer to the hotel. After check-in, you’ll have time to relax and recover from your journey. The rest of the day is free to unwind or explore the nearby surroundings at your own pace. In the evening, we’ll gather for a welcome dinner and a briefing about the upcoming Rara Lake adventure, giving you an introduction to the journey ahead.

  • Visit Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa and Kathmandu Durbar Square

    After breakfast, we begin our exploration of the Kathmandu Valley's cultural and spiritual landmarks. First, we visit the sacred Pashupatinath Temple, one of the holiest Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Next, we head to the serene Boudhanath Stupa, a major center of Tibetan Buddhism and one of the largest stupas in the world. We conclude the day at Kathmandu Durbar Square, a historical palace complex rich in Newari architecture, where temples and courtyards echo the grandeur of Nepal’s royal past.

  • Fly to Nepalgunj: (Altitude: 150 m/492 ft | Flight duration: 50 minutes) and visit Bageshwori Temple

    After breakfast, we take a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj, a vibrant city in western Nepal and the gateway to the remote Karnali region. Upon arrival, we’ll visit the famous Bageshwori Temple, one of the region’s most revered Hindu shrines, dedicated to Goddess Bageshwori, a form of Durga. Located in a peaceful park-like setting, the temple complex also includes a sacred pond and a temple to Shiva with a mustached statue, which draws unique local devotion. After the visit, we check into our hotel and rest in preparation for the next day’s journey toward Rara Lake.

  • Fly to Talcha Airport: (Altitude: 2,735 m/8,973 ft | Flight duration: 45 Minutes and Hike to Rara Lake: (Altitude: 2,990 m/9,810 ft | Hike duration: 3 hrs)

    After an early breakfast, we board a scenic mountain flight from Nepalgunj to Talcha Airport, offering breathtaking views of western Nepal’s remote hills and valleys. Upon landing at Talcha, we begin a leisurely hike to Rara Lake, a peaceful walk of around 2-3 hours through pine forests and traditional villages. As we approach the lake, the landscape opens up to reveal the stunning Rara Lake, nestled amid alpine meadows and surrounded by snow-capped peaks. Upon arrival, we settle in near the lake and soak in the quiet beauty of this untouched Himalayan gem.

  • Hike to Murma Top: (Altitude: 3,690 m/12,106 ft) and Lake Exploration

    Today, we hike to Murma Top, one of the best viewpoints in the region, offering a panoramic vista of Rara Lake, the surrounding forests, and the distant Himalayan ranges. The trail passes through peaceful woodlands and traditional villages, giving you a glimpse into local life along the way. From the top, the view of the lake shimmering below, cradled by rolling hills and snow-dusted peaks, is truly unforgettable. After descending, we spend the afternoon exploring the lakeshore, enjoying the calm atmosphere, and reflecting by the crystal-clear waters of Nepal’s largest and most pristine lake.

  • Trek Back to Talcha Airport: (Altitude: 2,735 m/8,974 ft | Hike duration: 3 Hours)

    After a peaceful morning by Rara Lake, we begin our return trek to Talcha Airport. The trail gently winds through alpine forests and quiet villages, offering final glimpses of the tranquil landscapes that make this region so special. Take time to absorb the natural beauty and calm of the surroundings as we make our way back. Upon arrival in Talcha, we’ll rest and prepare for the return flight to Nepalgunj the following day, carrying with us the serene memories of Rara.

  • Fly back to Nepaljung and Connect to Kathmandu

    After experiencing the breathtaking beauty of Rara Lake, we arrange a smooth return journey for our guests. We fly back to Nepalgunj from Talcha and connect to a scheduled flight to Kathmandu, ensuring every detail is taken care of. From the moment the tour begins to the final flight home, we focus on providing a seamless and memorable experience.
