Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, our representative will be waiting to greet you at Tribhuvan International Airport with a warm welcome and a traditional garland. You’ll be transferred to your hotel in a private vehicle, where you can relax and recover from your journey. In the evening, we’ll host a short briefing session at your hotel or our office to discuss the Helambu Trek itinerary, answer any last-minute questions, and ensure all necessary permits and equipment are in order. This marks the beginning of your unforgettable Himalayan adventure with us.

Drive to Sundarijal and trek to Chisopani: (Altitude: 2215 m/ 7267.06 ft | Trek distance: 12 km/ 7.5 miles | Trek duration: 4-6 hrs)
After an early breakfast in Kathmandu, we drive for about an hour to Sundarijal, the starting point of our trek. The trail begins by entering the Shivapuri National Park and gradually ascends through lush forests, cascading waterfalls, and stone-paved village paths. As we climb higher, we pass through traditional Tamang settlements and scenic farmlands. After 4-5 hours of trekking, we reach Chisopani (2,135m), a peaceful hilltop village offering stunning sunset views over the Langtang and Ganesh Himal ranges. We settle in for the night at a local teahouse, surrounded by serene nature and mountain vistas.

We begin our trek from Kutumsang, gradually ascending through lush rhododendron forests and traditional Tamang villages, offering stunning views of the Langtang mountain range. As we climb higher, the air becomes crisper and the landscape more serene, with fewer settlements and more natural beauty. The trail to Thadepati is both peaceful and invigorating, rewarding us with panoramic Himalayan vistas and a true sense of wilderness. Reaching Thadepati, perched on a ridge, we are greeted with breathtaking sunrise and sunset views, an unforgettable highlight of the Helambu region.

From Thadepati, we begin our descent toward Tarke Ghyang, following a scenic trail that winds through dense forests of pine and rhododendron. As we leave the high ridges behind, the path gradually leads us into charming hillside villages and open pastures, offering occasional glimpses of snow-capped peaks. The trail is rich in cultural flavor, with chortens, mani walls, and prayer flags lining the way. Upon reaching Tarke Ghyang, one of the oldest and largest villages in the Helambu region, we’re welcomed by its warm Sherpa hospitality and the unique heritage of Buddhist monasteries and traditional stone houses.

From Tarke Ghyang, we continue our trek toward Sermathang along a gentle, scenic trail that passes through beautiful forests, open meadows, and small Sherpa villages. The path is relatively easy, allowing us to fully enjoy the surrounding landscapes and interact with the friendly locals along the way. As we move through this culturally rich region, we come across prayer wheels, monasteries, and terraced fields that reflect the traditional way of life. Reaching Sermathang, a peaceful village perched on a hillside, we’re treated to panoramic views of the Himalayas and a deep sense of serenity that marks the final stretch of our Helambu journey.

From Sermathang, we begin our final day of trekking with a steady descent toward Melamchi Bazaar. The trail leads us through charming villages, terraced fields, and lush forests, offering one last glimpse of rural life in the Helambu region. As we approach the lower elevations, the air becomes warmer and the landscape shifts to subtropical terrain. Upon reaching Melamchi Bazaar, a bustling riverside town, we conclude our trek and prepare for the scenic drive back to Kathmandu. The journey by road winds through hills and valleys, eventually bringing us back to the capital, where we reflect on the unforgettable experiences and stunning beauty of the Langtang-Helambu trek.
