Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding: (Altitude: 2,800m/9,187ft | Distance: 6.2 km/3.8 miles | Trek duration: 4 hrs)
After a hearty breakfast in Kathmandu, we’ll take an early morning flight to Lukla, an exhilarating experience in itself, offering breathtaking views of the Himalayas. Upon landing at the Tenzing-Hillary Airport, we’ll meet our local porters and begin the trek. Today’s hike is a gentle descent through picturesque Sherpa villages, lush forests, and alongside the Dudh Koshi River. After about 3-4 hours of trekking, we’ll arrive at Phakding (2,610m), where we’ll rest for the night in a cozy teahouse, preparing for the journey ahead.

Trek to Namche Bazar: (Altitude: 3,438m/11,280ft | Distance: 7.4 km/4.6 miles | Trek duration: 5-6 hrs)
After having breakfast and finishing our morning rituals, we are going to trek to Namche Bazar for approximately 6-7 hours. After crossing the scenic suspension bridges hanging over the Dudhkoshi river, our trail will lead us to Sagarmatha National Park, a vast area of natural beauty and landscapes. Namche Bazaar, often called the “Gateway to Everest,” is a vibrant Sherpa town nestled on a hillside. It offers modern amenities, including bakeries, shops, and internet cafes, alongside stunning views of Everest and other peaks. It’s also a popular acclimatization stop for trekkers.

Acclimatization in Namche Bazar: (Altitude: 3,438m/11,280ft)
Acclimatizing is the most important process for our bodies to adjust to changing high altitudes while trekking. We can spend our day in Namche Bazar by visiting the Sherpa Culture Museum or taking short hike to the viewpoints in order to enjoy the beautiful scenery. We can also visit the bakeries that serve pastries which is quite popular among tourists.

Trek to Dole: (Altitude: 3,680 m / 12,073 ft | Distance: 7.4 km/4.6 miles | Trek duration: 6 hrs)
Today, we leave Namche Bazaar and begin our trek toward Dole, gaining altitude as we venture deeper into the Khumbu region. The trail starts with a steady climb out of Namche, offering stunning views of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and other Himalayan giants. We branch off from the main Everest Base Camp route, heading north toward the Gokyo Valley. Passing through beautiful rhododendron and birch forests, we stop at small settlements like Mong and Phortse Tenga for rest and lunch. The final stretch involves a gradual ascent through alpine terrain before reaching the quiet village of Dole (4,040m), where we spend the night surrounded by rugged mountain scenery.

Trek to Machhermo: (Altitude: 3,870 m / 12,696 ft | Distance: 7 km/4.3 miles | Trek duration: 5-6 hrs)
After breakfast in Dole, we continue our trek toward Machhermo, gradually gaining altitude as the landscape becomes more rugged and open. The trail ascends gently along the Dudh Koshi River, passing through patches of juniper shrubs and scattered summer yak pastures. With fewer trees and more panoramic views, we’ll enjoy stunning sights of Cho Oyu and other surrounding peaks. Along the way, we pass small settlements like Lhabarma and Luza, where we take short breaks to rest and hydrate. After about 4–5 hours of trekking, we reach Machhermo (4,470m), a beautiful, windswept village nestled in the valley. Here, we settle in for the night and take time to acclimatize before heading higher into the Gokyo Valley.

Trek to Gokyo and afternoon hike to Gokyo Ri: (Altitude: 4,800 m / 15,748 ft | Distance: 6km/ 3.7 miles | Trek duration: 3-4 hrs)
Today, we trek from Machhermo to the stunning Gokyo Valley, a journey that takes us deeper into the high Himalayas. The trail climbs gradually, offering magnificent views of Cho Oyu and the surrounding peaks as we pass through the rocky terrain and alongside glacial streams. After about 4–5 hours, we arrive at the beautiful village of Gokyo (4,790m), nestled beside the shimmering turquoise waters of the third Gokyo Lake. In the afternoon, for those feeling acclimatized and energetic, we hike up to Gokyo Ri (5,360m), a steep but rewarding climb. From the summit, we’re treated to one of the finest panoramic views in the Everest region spanning Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and the vast Ngozumpa Glacier. We return to Gokyo for a well-earned rest and overnight stay.

Morning hike to Gokyo 4th lake and trek to Machhermo: (Altitude: 3,870 m / 12,696 ft | Distance: 5.7 km/3.7 miles | Trek duration: 4 hrs)
This morning, we take a scenic hike from Gokyo to the 4th Gokyo Lake (Thonak Tsho), a peaceful and less-visited spot surrounded by dramatic peaks and glacial terrain. The trail is relatively gentle and takes about 1.5 to 2 hours round trip, offering a quiet, reflective experience away from the main trail. After returning to Gokyo and enjoying breakfast, we begin our descent back to Machhermo, retracing our steps along the Dudh Koshi River. The downhill trek takes about 3-4 hours and allows us to enjoy the expansive views from a new perspective. We spend the night in Machhermo, resting after a rewarding day of exploration and descent.

Today, we begin our descent from Machhermo to Namche Bazaar, enjoying a long but rewarding day on the trail. The path takes us back through the alpine meadows and yak pastures of Dole, gradually descending alongside the Dudh Koshi River. We pass through charming villages like Luza and Phortse Tenga, where we can pause for rest and refreshments. The trail then climbs briefly to Mong La before descending again toward Namche. As we get closer, lush forests and vibrant rhododendrons return to the landscape. After about 6-7 hours of trekking, we arrive back in the bustling town of Namche Bazaar, where we’ll enjoy a hot meal, a comfortable bed, and a well-earned rest.

On your final day, we handle all the necessary arrangements for your departure to your home country. Our team will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu well ahead of your flight time, ensuring a smooth and stress-free check-in process.
